3D Printed Materials

Materials available for our 3D printed products.
Nylon - Strong & flexible plastic

The printing: it starts with a bed of Nylon powder which gets sintered with a laser layer by layer, solidifying the powder as it goes.

The material:

-Dishwasher safe

-Not watertight

-Not foodsafe

-Not recyclable

The options: available in different colours; white, black, pink, purple, red, blue, yellow, green and orange.

Steel

The printing: To build steel models, special 3D printers deposit small drops of glue onto layers of stainless steel powder, one layer at a time, until the print is complete. At this stage of the process, the objects are very fragile, similar to wet sand. The models then go through an infusion process that replaces the glue with bronze, creating a full metal product. Models are then processed to achieve your desired finish and sprayed with a sealant.

The material:

-Diswasher safe

-Is watertight

-Not foodsafe

-Not recyclable

The options: available with different finishes; stainless, matte bronze, polished bronze, matte black, polished grey, matte gold, polished gold and polished nickel.

Precious metals

The printing: Precious metals are 3D printed using a complex five-step process. First, the model is printed in wax using a specialized high-resolution 3D printer. It is then put in a container where liquid plaster is poured in around it. When the plaster sets, the wax is melted out in a furnace, and the remaining plaster becomes the mold.

Molten metal is poured into this mold and set to harden. The plaster is broken away, revealing your new product. The product is then carefully cleaned and hand-polished.

The options:

-Materials: Brass, sterling silver, 14kt gold, 18kt gold, 14kt rose gold, 14kt white gold, platinum and bronze.

-Finishes: the materials are available either raw, polished or highly polished.

-Platings (on brass or silver):

white rhodium, black rhodium, pink gold, 22kt gold and 18kt gold.
